These Hoss Round Eye jigheads were specifically designed for traditional soft plastic lures in situations where you're fishing underwater structure such as rocks, dock/bridge pilings, nearshore reefs, etc.
This round shape is the best for all-purpose fishing because it does great bouncing along the bottom while also tracking very nicely while trolling and/or retrieving up off of the bottom.
Plus, the round shape allows for better skipping performance for situations where you need to skip your lure up under docks, trees, etc.
And the weedless design of this rig in which the hook is perfectly sized/shaped to have the point sit right on top to stay weedless while having enough gap to still get good hookup ratios on your strikes.
These Hoss Weedless Round Eye jigs will help you consistently catch the bigger/smarter fish given how smoothly it glides through the water and how it can be fished so tight to structure.
With these jigheads , you'll be able to catch a wide variety of species including: redfish, snook, flounder, seatrout, grouper, tripletail, tarpon, snapper, and cobia while using a wide array of soft plastic lures.
Which Soft Plastic Brands Do They Work With?
The only brand that we've tested where these aren't the best solution for fishing soft plastics around deep structure is Zman... if you're using Zman lures, they you'll have a better experience with their custom Texas Eyez Jigheads.
But for all other brands, it's a safe bet that you'll have better results with these new Weedless Round Eyes... especially if fishing any soft plastics that are prone to tearing.
As you'll see on the jig heads, they consist of a swinging head with a heavy duty hook that allows you to effortlessly rig it weedless which will save you countless lures if you're targeting areas with underwater structure.
