Fish Strong Fishing Rod Warranty
Although breakage from a legitimate manufacturing defect is rare, it can still happen. If you believe your rod broke due to a manufacturing defect, please contact us at shop@saltstrong.com with any questions/concerns.
If your rod was damaged/broken during shipment, Salt Strong will provide a replacement rod (minus shipping expenses) to the customer promptly.
What our warranty DOES NOT cover:
- Modified, neglected, improperly maintained, abused, or customer non-fishing related incidents.
- Examples of improper usage & use are as follows:
- Creating a sharp 90° “bend” in the rod tip while fighting a fish or storing/removing the hook from its hook keeper (i.e. “Hi-Stick” Breakage due to improper use).
- Using lure and/or line ratings that are beyond the recommended specifications listed on rod

Slot Machine Spinning Rod
Insider Members:
- If your rod breaks after usage for any reason at all, there is a replacement fee of $60 plus shipping (for 1st Claim Only).
- Any repeat breakage claims afterwards will result in a replacement fee of $120 plus shipping.
- This offer will remain active up to three (3) years from the date of purchase and only extends to the original purchaser of the product.
Non-Insider:
- A replacement fee of $150 plus $30 shipping.
- This offer will remain active for 1 year from the date of purchase and only extends to the original purchaser of the product.
- This offer is only available 1x to the original customer, and all claims must be made within one (1) year of the purchase date.
To begin the Warranty Process:
- Capture several pictures of your broken/damaged rod. We suggest taking several pictures of the broken/damaged location as well as 1 full picture of the rod in its entirety.

Slam Stick Spinning Rod
Insider Members:
- If your rod breaks after usage for any reason at all, you will be granted a free replacement as long as you cover the $30 shipping fee and are an active Insider Club member.
- Any repeat breakage claims afterwards will result in a replacement fee of 50% MSRP plus shipping.
- This offer will remain active up to three (3) years from the date of purchase and only extends to the original purchaser of the product.
Insider Members:
- If your rod breaks after usage for any reason at all there you are eligible for a replacement for $50 plus the $30 shipping.
- Any repeat breakage claims afterwards will result in a replacement fee of 50% MSRP plus shipping.
- This offer will remain active for 1 year from the date of purchase and only extends to the original purchaser of the product.
- This offer is only available 1x to the original customer, and all claims must be made within one (1) year of the purchase date.

- If any rod section breaks after usage for any reason at all, you will be granted a free replacement as long as you cover the $15 shipping fee and are an active Insider Club member.
- Any repeat breakage claims afterwards will result in a replacement fee of 50% MSRP plus shipping.
- This offer will remain active up to three (3) years from the date of purchase and only extends to the original purchaser of the product.
Non-Insider:
- If any rod section breaks after usage for any reason at all, you are eligible for a replacement for $25 plus the $15 shipping.
- Any repeat breakage claims afterwards will result in a replacement fee of 50% MSRP plus shipping.

Otis Spinning Reel
Insider Members:
- 1-Year Limited Warranty: The Otis 2500 is protected for a full year for any manufacturer defects (these are super rare, and most often are realized on the first use)
- 2-Year Replacement Coverage: If your reel has any issues (even if caused by an accidental dunk in the water) at any point within 2 years of original purchase, you can get a replacement for 50% off of the MSRP price as long as you’ve had continuous Insider membership (if any gaps of membership, then warranty coverage automatically transitions to the Non-Member status below).
Non-Insiders:
- 1-Year Limited Warranty: The Otis 2500 is protected for a full year for any manufacturer defects (these are super rare, and most often are realized on the first use)
- 1-Year Replacement Coverage: If your reel has any issues that causes it to no longer be smooth (even if caused by an accidental dunk in the water) at any point within 1 year of original purchase, you can get a replacement for 50% off of the MSRP price (1 time use per customer)
