The Mustad Kaiju single inline hook features an impressive strength/power to price ratio.
Its extra wide bend helps for more secure hook-ups when targeting saltwater species, such as snook, redfish, seatrout, tarpon, and many more. The hook is a great substitute for treble hooks on lures. The single hook is less likely to snag weeds. The hook features micro barbs for easy hookset and Mustad’s Duratin finish for high corrosion resistance. It is ideal for big lures, such as plugs and poppers. Chemically sharpened, Nor-Tempered, high-carbon steel.

The sizes that I've used are size 1 & 2. They are very similar in size, so they both fit nicely to plugs in the 3.5 to 4 inch range.
For plugs larger than 4 inches, I'll be going with the size 1/0.
And for plugs like MirroDines that are 3 inches or less, I'm sticking with the size 2 from Owner because these longer hooks from Mustad seem a bit too big.
For replacing these inline hooks with treble hooks on your lures, make sure to have a great set of split ring pliers because it makes a huge difference... click here to see the ones we have found to work best that cost a fraction of their competition.
