Why Fish The 2.0?

Easy to Fish You don't need a complicated retrieve. The paddle tail gives the lure plenty of action on a simple steady retrieve.
Matches Common Inshore Bait The 3.5-inch profile falls right into the size range of many small baitfish that redfish, trout, snook, and other predators regularly feed on.
Fish It Weedless Pair it with a weighted weedless hook to work grass, oysters, and other snag-prone shallow-water structure.
Fish It Deeper Put it on a jighead when you need the lure lower in the water column.
Built-In Scent The lure is loaded with fish-attracting scent to add another element to the presentation.
Turn It Into a Smaller Bait Remove the paddle tail and fish it “Nub” style when predators are keyed in on smaller forage.

How to Rig The 2.0

Don't overcomplicate the rigging. Pick your hook based on the water you're fishing.

Shallow Water & Grass For water around 2 feet deep or less, we like pairing the 2.0 with a 3/0 Hoss Helix weighted weedless hook.

This is the setup to reach for when you're fishing grass flats or other areas where an exposed hook can constantly pick up vegetation.

Deeper Water When you need the lure to get farther down in the water column, switch to a jighead.

We like pairing the 2.0 with the 2/0 Hoss Round Eye Jighead for this style of fishing.

Simple rule:

If you're constantly dragging bottom or getting buried in grass, go lighter. If the lure isn't reaching the fish, go heavier.

One Lure, Two Bait Sizes

One of our favorite things about the 2.0 is that you're not limited to the full 3.5-inch paddle tail profile.

When fish are feeding on smaller bait, simply remove the tail and fish the remaining body as a “Nub.”

That gives you a smaller baitfish presentation without having to completely change lures.

How to Fish a Paddle Tail

Start simple.

Cast it out and use a steady retrieve that's fast enough to keep the lure at the depth you want.

From there, adjust based on the fish.

  • Fish shallow? Keep the lure moving higher in the water column.
  • Fish deeper? Slow down or use a heavier jighead.
  • Active fish? Try a slightly faster retrieve.
  • Slow bite? Add pauses or small twitches.

The paddle tail already creates the action. Your main job is putting it in front of the fish.

Where to Fish The 2.0

This saltwater paddle tail works especially well anywhere inshore predators are feeding on small baitfish.

  • Grass flats
  • Oyster bars
  • Creek mouths
  • Shorelines
  • Points and current seams
  • Shallow bays
  • Deeper edges and drop-offs

Great for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Snook & More

The 2.0 is designed for inshore predators that feed heavily on small baitfish.

That makes it a strong option for redfish, speckled trout, snook, and other saltwater species whenever a small paddletail presentation fits the conditions.

Which Color Should You Use?

Don't get too hung up on color before you've figured out where the fish are and what depth they're feeding.

The 2.0 comes in multiple color patterns so you can adjust for water clarity, light conditions, and local forage.

Pick a color that gives you confidence, get the lure into the strike zone, and make color changes after you've dialed in depth and retrieve.
