The Flea Flicker is the ultimate suspending twitch lure because it mimics a severely injured fish which triggers the predator instinct of game fish to strike even if they aren't hungry.
This lure suspends in the water with its nose up just like an injured baitfish does when it is barely alive.
Its size and silhouette perfectly resembles a ~ 3 inch sardine/shad which are a favorite prey for redfish, seatrout, snook, flounder, and a variety of other species.
Also, this lure actually moves backwards as it slowly sinks when its not being retrieved to make it irresistible to predator fish with its forward and backward motions in the water.
This unique forward and backward sequences of movement is what led to the "flea flicker" name after a football play that involves a backward pitch to the QB before a forward through to a receiver.
Best of all, this lure has a very slow sink rate so it can be fished in shallow water while also being able to call up fish from deeper water with it's retrieval moves and internal rattles.
