Over the past few years, we’ve been working with multiple rod building experts and learned that there’s no better way to dial-in the performance of a rod without first building one yourself. 

We were surprised about how the mass production rod manufacturers were overlooking some EXTREMELY important details in their rods designs that decreases the actual performance of the rod.

One of the biggest missed opportunities that most rod manufacturers seem to overlook is Guide Spacing and Reel Pairing. Having a guide layout that's placed appropriately for your specific reel size will help optimize casting distance while also reducing the potential for wind knots.

Comparison to Slot Machine

The Slam Stick does not quite have the feel and performance as the Slot Machine rod, but it still has custom guide spacing to allow for max distance casting while having better feel of strikes compared to most other rods. Also, the Slam Stick is not Made in the USA like the Slot Machine (the Slam stick is made in China like the TFO and most other rods).

Comparison to TFO PS

The Slam Stick has higher end components along with the custom guide train for fishermen looking for maximized casting distance compared to the TFO PS. Also, the Slam Stick has a coat of paint that helps it withstand some abuse and keep on catching fish. So for anyone who has the budget, we highly recommend upgrading to the Slam Stick.

Shipping Details: 

There is a $30 flat rate shipping fee for the Slam Stick rods (up to 3 Rods can be purchased within the same order). This Rod can be ordered in combination with any others as well (TFO, St. Croix, etc.). If more than 3 rods are ordered, there will be an additional $30 flat rate shipping fee to accommodate the additional shipment. Please note that we are unable to ship rods to a PO Box and to some areas in Puerto Rico as UPS does not allow.
